The Alocasia Lauterbachiana is a very stylish and ornamental plant. Long spear shaped leaves are glossy and upright in form with wavy edges. Deep green on top with a spectacularly contrasting metallic purple-bronze color to their undersides. Strong green stems are flecked with purple. This impressive foliage provides a wonderful backdrop to richly colored flowers in any garden. Frost tender it is perfect for growing in containers and placing into a border through summer to give it a tropical look and then moving indoors through winter. Alternatively their spectacular foliage makes them a striking houseplant.
