The Phoenix Canariensis or Canary Island Date Palm is an impressive tropical looking palm with a stout trunk. It is crowned with huge feather- like lush green arching leaves. It is easy to grow and is tolerant of hugh neglect.
Be mindful of the small stunted leaflets near the base of the leaves as they are quite sharp.
Given a sheltered position and well drained soil it will provide a stunning centrepiece for your garden.
